within an inch…

…of my life! Ok, so it’s not that dramatic. I went to see Justin for lunch today at Sherwin Williams to get some left over pizza. I got there shortly after he did and went inside to see paint on the floor and Jackie laughing. Then Justin walked out and he had paint from head to toe. Poor guy! So from there I offered to go get him some clothes. It took forever to get there and back (lunch time rush). I got there well after my break should have been over and grabbed some pizza and a drink and left (I was happy to do it though). Then I get to the famous McDonald’s light and I’m waiting to turn left. The light turns green and the car in front of me starts going backwards, heading straight for me. Then the guy gets out of the car and forgets to put it in PARK! And the car continues to head in my direction. I had nowhere to go and just had to watch. Luckily he was able to jump back in and stop it about 2 to 3 inches from the front of my car. Then he motions for me to go around. Yeah right! I couldn’t get around him. Finally he directs me and watches for me so I could get around. What a day! Then two people at different times pulled out right in front of me in a 55 mph zone. I just was happy to get back to work and think I’ll be staying the night at this rate hehe. I guess I better get back to ordering books. It’s so nice to get to spend $500,000 at a time of money that’s not mine haha.

progress

I know it’s been awhile…I just wanted to let you know we are alive. Justin has been without internet and hopes to get it back and running by Thursday. We have been moving things from place to place and cleaning and unpacking. Hopefully soon it will start looking like a home. Justin’s been staying at the new place for awhile and it seems that the boys (apache and pixel) love it! The kitchen is all clean and unpacked and Justin’s “play pen” as I call it is getting back to normal.

Here at work we are starting to order Fall books today. They should start coming in next week by the 200-300 cartons or more. Wish me luck! It’s gonna be a long few weeks. And the wedding….well…it’s still on idle.

Praise God

Justin and I signed the final papers for our house and received the keys on the 29th!!! Now comes the even harder part of moving in! The past 2 days have been spent slaving away trying to get all our junk packed up and transported to the new house. Justin’s parents and Uncle Stuart came yesterday and helped Justin move most of it over to the house (Thanks guys!!!!). Last night we just tried to make things somewhat liveable for poor Justin so he could sleep. The cats went crazy. I thought Apache was getting used to it but apparently he kept Justin up most of the night. Maybe they’ve had the day to adjust and will be better soon. I tell ya it was a long 20 minute ride with those 2 in the back seat haha.

I’m sorry this is so brief. I hope to sit down sometime and really update this. I’ve been in the middle of inventory at work and the auditor came yesterday. Things are beginning to pick up which means the wedding will come even faster.

I also went to Charleston this past weekend with some friends. I’ll try to remember to tell you about that too later.
Have a great day!

vacation

The weekend was definitely a nice vacation, although it was very short. I got to see my best friends and just get away from it all. Thank you guys for making this happen. For a little while there I wasn’t sure it was going to occur.

Justin and I got home around 1am and I got home to my place around 1:30am. Needless to say we are both dragging today but it was well worth it.

Tomorrow is our big day! We get to sign the papers and get the keys to the house. Pray for us please for the coming days of moving and finances.

Charleston bound!

I’ve had to run the front since 10 this morning, but that’s ok, in just a few short house I will be on the road with Justin to pick up Matt in Greenville (North Carolina that is) . I hope Justin can handle 5 hours in a car with me hahaha. I hope he doesn’t go with his plan of making me angry so I’ll give him the silent treatment all the way there 😉 I’m so excited to see Matt’s place and his town. I’ve never had the chance to go visit. I can’t wait for this whole trip! I really need it too! Hopefully Mandy and I will get some time to talk and catch up on things.

Gotta get back to work…

David and Lorraine

I know you guys aren’t at home, but I wanted to wish you both a Very Happy Anniversary! I wish you many more years of happiness and love!

Enjoy your day!

I love you!

mo’ money

Hey everyone, I just found out some fantastic news. I called my bank today about a check that I”ve been waiting to clear since March. Apparently it did clear and I just overlooked it. That mean’s just a little extra money in my account to help pay for house expenses and wedding things.

Justin and I went to my boss’ son’s wedding this past Saturday. It was really nice and well done. It gave me a lot more to think about. I really need to start back with the planning. It’s been at least a month since I’ve done any planning.

I’m gonna switch on over to the wedding now and update that.

week before madness

Looks like this is my last “calm” week of the Summer. I’m prepping for inventory and the campers have arrived (if you call that calm). They arrived in Charter buses! Most of them don’t even speak English.

After this week I’ll be counting books (probably in my sleep too), estimating sales for Fall, ordering books, receiving in books (by the 100 cartons or more), pricing and shelving them, and then shipping them out to students (approximately 3000+). Once that is done, Fall rush begins and I will be working 8-8 shifts for about a week. Then there will be problems to deal with I’m sure. And then it is time for the wedding. I might not be able to update much, but it’s not because I’m slacking off.

I’m ready for a vacation already!

Have a great day!
