Weekend with my sisters!

I’m excited because tomorrow I get to spend the whole day with my sisters. I can’t remember the last time we did something together. I can’t wait to see Erin with baby in tow hehe. She continues to do really well and is so cute! Three months to the day until she is “scheduled” to give birth to Walker. Kelly and I get to ride from my house to Greensboro together. That will give us some time to catch up. We don’t get to talk as much as we used to. Life is just too crazy lately. Hopefully we won’t get lost haha. And hopefully we will get by the Concord exit without much trouble (because of the race). I can’t wait!

Now…if only the work day today would hurry up and be over!

GWU email

Oh, and if anyone has tried to send me an email at my gwu address today, chances are I haven’t gotten it. GWU has gone to a new email system and my email was totally screwed up all day. They have supposedly fixed it now but I still haven’t gotten any emails that I know I should have had this morning.

First late night of the Season

Today is the first day of Divinity classes at GWU. We were told to be open until 6:30pm tonight. While I had a few minutes I decided to check the Divinity schedule online and found that there are no classes starting late tonight. So pretty much we are staying open until 6:30pm for no reason. And…of course the infamous store manager is nowhere in sight and hasn’t been for most of the day. I would feel guilty to get a paycheck for something that I didn’t earn. If I sat at home or played raquetball or ran some personal errands during the day I wouldn’t feel right about getting a full paycheck. It’s a little different to do it now and then but just about everyday is crazy! I guess that’s why we, the peons are here. Ok I must go start a game of solitaire hehe. Have a grand night! Oh, and 24 is on tonight!!!! Season finale (2 hours). Don’t miss it!

I want to start a new “game” so to speak on the site. I’m going to try to keep this up and if I don’t I want someone to tell me. We’ve had a lot of “interesting” characters flood the store over the years and each semester it never ceases to amaze me how “up in the clouds” they can be. So I’d like to share those funny little moments that keep me going.

The Laughters’ Daughter

Hehe that rhymed…well if you know how to really say the last name Laughter like daughter. Anyway…Matt and Crystal have welcomed their new member of the family, Hannah Marie Laughter to their home. I can’t remember the measurements but saw some pictures Matt sent Justin and she is definitely a cutie. Congrats guys!

Updates

Boy, I’ve really been a slacker. You have to stop letting me get away with not blogging often.

Let’s see…

The last weekend in April my whole family got together (except dad) at our house for a cookout to celebrate Kelly’s upcoming Bday (May 2nd). It was so nice to have everyone in one spot. Justin grilled for us and mmmmm. It rained earlier in the day but stopped in time for the cookout. Java was a good girl too. Erin brought her ultrasound tape and we got to see lil Walker in action. I even got to feel him kick. He’s gonna be a soccer player! 😉

This past weekend my family, including dad (but not Justin) went to Erin and Mike’s neck of the woods for a baby shower. It was a lot of fun and we got to see the nursery (Erin did a GREAT job!). It was good to get to visit her for a little while.

Now this weekend I have Relay for Life and I have to work graduation here at GWU from 8am-2pm on Saturday. It will be a busy weekend. This summer is filling up fast.
