prayers needed

Today around 5:30 or 6pm my sister Kelly called me to let me know that my grandma was going to the hospital. My dad was at work but left to go see what was going on. Apparently they brought her to the hospital for “shortness of breath”. My mom just called me a few minutes ago to tell me they found that she has pneumonia in both of her lungs. She is 88 (89 the end of this month) and has alzheimers. My dad said she can’t stand having tubes and wires on her and keeps forgetting what they are for and trying to take them off. She says she is really tired too and has a hard time breathing. They are going to keep her overnight in a regular room and said they will let her leave tomorrow if nothing changes.

I REALLY don’t like that hospital! Almost the same thing happened to my other grandma there. They made light of the situation and told us she would come home the next morning. That morning was when we got the phone call that she had passed away. I’ve not heard good news at all about that hospital and I used to work there (volunteer). I know how they take their time doing things and slack off.

I really wanted to post to let you know of the situation and ask for your prayers, that no matter what, God’s Will be done and to pray for me and my family as we wait. Thank you all so much! You have always been there for me and I’ll keep you posted as I find more out.

my valentine…

My Valentine isn’t just around on February 14th. My Valentine is with me everyday. He kisses me each morning to welcome the new day and holds me close everynight as we fall asleep. He makes funny faces at me just to get me to smile. He even pushes enough buttons sometimes until I decide I can be mad or just laugh at how silly he is. My valentine hugs me when I need it and sometimes just “because”. He holds my hand when we go places and even opens doors for me. My valentine is honest, kind, loving, warm, and awesome! I love to catch him sleeping on the couch. That way I get to stare at him when he doesn’t know. Times like that I really get to think about how lucky I am to have him. And right now…I’m the happiest woman in the world because I get to get in my car and drive straight home to him. If you haven’t guessed it yet, I’m talking about my cat 😉 just kidding. I’m talking about my awesome husband! I’m sorry if this is too mushy but hey, today is a mushy day hehe. And for those of you that are choosing to celebrate “Singles’ Awareness Day” I encourage that also. Who knows you might just celebrate it with your future Valentine….I did 😉 It all started with a half eaten roll of orange creamsavers as a Single’s gift and look where we are now. Happy 14th!

just too bad…

I just found this article and couldn’t help but laugh. It’s just too bad I don’t need it anymore…but I thought it might be useful for some of you. Why didn’t I think of it sooner 😉 Funny stuff!

Happy Birthday!

I’m not sure if you read this regularly or at all but…..Happy Birthday Anna!!!!! I hope you have a great one!

my little pony

Java is continuing to grow all the time. I’m always afraid for her to sleep because I know when she wakes up she will be a foot taller haha. Yesterday she was able to get up on the bed without help. Sometimes when she runs at me she reminds me of a little baby pony. She has learned how to sit…most of the time on command. Last night Justin and I were watching a movie and we looked around and both our boys (the cats) and Java were sleeping…Pixel on the chair, Apache on the loveseat, and Java next to us on the couch. It was one of those sweet moments when all seems right with the world.

In a few months Justin and I will be a part of our church Relay for Life team again. We did it last year and had a really good time and got to know more people from the church. This year I’m excited that I might be able to bring Java along to walk with and for motivation.

Well, I’m gonna get started with some work and just hope that this day flies so the weekend can start.

What a game!

Talk about wanting to call in sick today to avoid the rath of the Puke…I mean Duke fans. Carolina played a terrible game last night. It seems someone convinced them to put butter on their hands before the game! There were so many shots they should/could have had. McCants should have just stayed on the bench. Felton was able to help us out a lot until the last few seconds of the game. If only he had gone for the shot, the outcome would have been very different. Oh well, it’s not like a 71-70 winning score is anything really to be proud about…that was a pure luck win. We’ll see how things turn out on our court in March.

On a funny note, I had a voicemail first thing this morning from a boss of my boss who is a Puke fan. He wanted to know why I hadn’t stopped by his office with a grin yet this morning. Funny stuff! I’ll get him in March. hehe

Good news!

Hey everyone! I just wanted to let you all know that Justin and I heard the most AWESOME thing the other day….our niece/nephew’s heartbeat! Erin and Mike had an appointment on Tuesday and were given a great report! The baby is doing fine and actually 3 days ahead of schedule. The baby’s heartbeat is very strong too! We weren’t able to go see the video or see the pictures but they called us and let us hear the heartbeat over the phone. Erin has 1 more week (or til the beginning of next week) until she is through with her first trimester. Thank you all so much for your continued prayers! They are definitely working and being felt! The doctor’s are even telling Erin she can ease up on some of the medication she is on.

bummed

Ok so it didn’t snow once again! I am totally bummed that I have to be here at work. It is such a slow, rainy, nasty day! Today is “University Fellows” day where prospective students come and interview for scholarships. Of course this means that Bonnie has to part beyond Egypt in the rain. It’s always fun to drive around for 15 minutes trying to find a parking spot.

I have caught up on all my ordering to date and work and now I’m just sitting and waiting for something to help me pass the time until lunch and then until I can go home. It’s the perfect day to be lazy in bed. Oh well, maybe it will snow next year or maybe this Summer since it decided to be warm throughout winter so far hehe.

On a lighter note, I’ve gotten the wedding pics off the CDs and onto our computer at home. Now all I have to do is get Justin to put them on his site hehe. We are closer than we were before though so maybe before our one year anniversary you will see some pics hehe. We also have some new pics of our babies (Apache, Pixel, and Java).

I’m gonna go twiddle my thumbs some more. Have a great wet day!
