Two very special occasions

This weekend marks two special events. First my cute little nephew will be 1 month old. Can you believe it’s been that long already? The second is that Sunday marks our 1 year anniversary. That too doesn’t seem like it’s been that long since our wedding. Hopefully we will be able to take a trip to see the little man on Monday.

So this weekend when you are going about your days just know it’s an awesome time 🙂

Walker

Ok, so I realized I haven’t updated since the prayer request for Walker. Everyone is back home now. I believe the little guy has a checkup sometime today. They are gradually starting to get into a routine and things are slowly getting back to as normal as possible. Thank you all so much for your prayers and support! We were all going to venture to see them this weekend but with this gas situation we are hesitant. It might have to be another weekend down the road. I miss them all and wish I could hold little Walker. I can’t wait til he is old enough to travel so we can see him more.

How Awesome…

…it is to have a husband like mine! I realized tonight as I was rereading his old live journal how much I tend to take him for granted. He means more than the world to me and more than my last breath. Sometimes it’s just the simple things that he does that makes me smile inside. Like…most Saturday mornings he gets up early and keeps the dog entertained just so I can sleep an extra hour. He tolerates my phone calls from the bookstore when I am having computer issues. He holds my hand in the car and eggs me on when I’m mad just to make me eventually laugh cuz he’s so darn cute. Then there’s times he holds me til I’m done crying. When he goes out of his way to make me laugh. When he brings me breakfast or helps me out in any way possible.

I love you Justin and I pray that our love will only grow stronger over the years. I can’t believe it’s already almost been one. I pray that I can show you everyday what you mean to me and that I won’t take you for granted. Thank you for all you give me and do for me.

(if you think this is too sappy then I really hate that you have no idea what love is and how it feels and I pray that you find it one day)

Prayer for the lil’ guy

Please say a little pray for little Walker. He has to stay the night in the hospital. The doctor found that he still had some jaundice so they are keeping him under those lights. He is also having some trouble with nutrients. Hopefully he and mom and dad will get to go home tomorrow. Thank you so much for your prayers!

Aunt Bon Bon and Uncle J

I’m sure you’ve heard this from Justin by now but Walker Michael Shore was born Wednesday, August 24, 2005 at 1:53pm weighing in at 7lbs 9oz and 20.25 inches long. He is so adoreable! Check him out at Justin’s site if you haven’t already. I believe Mom, Dad, and Walker are headed home this evening already.

Justin and I just got home today at 340pm and I’m back at work until 8pm tonight. We are both exhausted from the small amount of sleep we’ve gotten in the past few days but it’s nothing compared to poor Erin and Mike. This is so awesome! God is Great! What a blessing!

Oh and today is our 11 month Anniversary. Can you believe it?

I’ll write more eventually. You might want to keep a check at Uncle J’s site for more pics.

Baby by morning

Hey Everyone, I just heard from Erin a little while ago, she had a dr’s appointment this morning. They are going to take her in at 9:30pm tonight and break her water and help the process along. Hopefully I’ll be an aunt by morning! Justin and I are going to drive that way as soon as possible.

Isn’t this exciting!

Wrong Hospital

Justin and I found out yesterday evening that Justin’s Pa Paw was admitted to Rutherford Hospital with an Angina attack. We headed that direction after the evening service to see him. I told Justin on the way that we weren’t supposed to be going to a hospital for bad reasons and not in that direction haha. As far as I’ve heard he is doing well. Last night he was wanting to go home and seemed to be ok. I hope he has already been released and at home.

Trip to Charleston

We’re back and it’s been a great mini-vacation. I wish we all had more time and more money to go on a longer trip. It was great though, to just get away from the stresses of work for a few days. We had a great time. We stayed at Shem Creek Inn and had a lot of time to just be lazy and truly relax. It rained most of the day on Monday but we still got out and about seeing Fort Moultrie and Patriot’s Point. We even swam in the pool for a little bit inbetween showers. We didn’t get to spend much time at the beach due to the weather but made a big effort to at least walk on it a bit. We all joked around a lot and it was just awesome. Even the trip there and back was fun. Hopefully Justin will be posting some pics soon of our trip.
