Happy Birthday Lunsford :)

Happy Birthday Erin Lunsford!  I hope you have a very happy day and just remember, this is the age many try to repeat when they get older hehe.  Miss you!

Prayer Request

Hey Everyone!  I know that you are all such good prayer warriors so I am asking for prayer for a really good friend of mine that is having surgery this morning.  I don’t know what time the timestamp will say when I post this entry but it’s about 10:10am and he is scheduled to have surgery at 11:00am.  Will you pray for him and for his doctors that everything will go smoothly. Thank you so much!

Happy Easter!

Hey Everyone! Just wanted to wish everyone a Very Happy Easter! 5:50am came way too quickly this morning.  When Justin and I got up, our animals were so confused as to why we were getting up and leaving in the dark.  The sunrise service started at 7am.  It was beautiful! We couldn’t have asked for a better service.  This was my first one at Crestview. Last year Justin and I were in Russia for Easter and the years before we both went with our families. The animals were definitely into the service as well.  There is a peacock, yes a peacock, across the street that started singing during a solo.  I guess he really like the song hehe.  There were birds flying all around us (even geese) and I can’t forget the cows.  The cows were even moo-ing.  It was a celebration that was for sure.  Even all of God’s creatures were joyous.  At one point during the service Pastor Stan was talking about Jesus being risen and alive and I thought it was so awesome that a little bird had pirched itself on top of the cross on top of the church and was singing as if to tell the world that Jesus has Risen!  I did feel bad at the end of the service.  Some EMS workers pulled up during the benediction prayer.  They were just a little too late 🙁  We were then invited over to Jeremy’s house for breakfast between the service and Sunday School.  It was a really great morning.

Yesterday, Justin and I were able to celebrate our family Easter time.  Everyone gathered at our house this year.  My dad always hides eggs for us outside.  We decided to do plastic eggs this year in case we didn’t find some haha.  Mike had camo eggs and Justin had green to keep it more exciting for them.  Stacey and Lorraine came to join us too and although it was hot, we all had fun.  Walker is getting so big!  We hadn’t seen him since February 5th when he was baptized.  Now he is scooting along in his walker and crawling and walking while holding things.  He is just about 8 months old and I bet next month he will be walking for sure.  What a smart and handsome baby boy. I love him so much! It was sooo good to see everyone again. I hope it won’t be too long til the next visit.  Oh, and we went to Papas Pizza to Go for the buffet for supper.  Mmmm Mmmm Good.  I thought I’d spare them my cooking hehe j/k.

I hope everyone had a fantastic Easter!

Outrageous!!!

I just read this article this morning.  I cannot believe ANYONE could do that to a baby.   If you want to spite your friend bash her car in but NEVER take another life!

Profound

I was writing the last post when I saw this in my drafts. Call me crazy but I think it’s quite interesting.
I’ve determined that Faith and Christianity are like a “Magic Eye” picture. I know you have all heard of those. Just work with me a minute….
Believers can see this thing that is virtually invisible to those who do not believe. They can look at this “picture” and see something else that others can’t. The unbelievers can stare at the “picture” forever and never see it and eventually get discouraged because the believers can and they can’t. This then leads to bitterness and resentment towards the believers when all the unbelievers need to do is ask the believers how to see it and then once they take the step to try to see it, it will then become known to them. They too, can see the “picture” and hopefully become a believer.

Yard work

Lately, since the time change and nice weather Justin and I have made it a goal to get our yard looking nicer.  So far we’ve weeded and mulched the front of our house.  Yesterday we planted hostas between the bushes we had planted earlier.  We also scattered some impatients in the area.  Yesterday, mostly Justin, finished the left side of our sidewalk area with mulch and hostas.  We still need to get a few more bags of mulch to finish the other side and do some touch ups.

We have also burned a little brush on the left back side of our property. Our dream is to fix up the yard and ditch area so it will be a nice area down by the creek for Java to play and us to sit and enjoy.  Hopefully this week Justin and our neighbor Roy will rent a tractor of some sort and finish the job so we can burn it all up.   I can’t wait to get home today and start burning some more.

My family is coming on Saturday for Easter. I can’t wait to see everyone.  Especially the star of the show, Walker. Can you believe he is almost 8 months old?

I hope everyone has been enjoying the weather like we have.

Can I get a Bullhonky!

I just found this article when skimming through today’s news articles. I cannot believe the things scientists will say to get their fifteen minutes of fame (so to speak). It’s so sad people feel they need to have physical/scientific proof for everything (all the answers). It’s even more sad to think we are worthy enough to have that information. Jesus is my Savior and what He tells me I believe. This thing called Faith is what God commands of us. Faith is believing what might not be seen because it is asked of us. God has never given me a reason not to believe Him. And to think that Jesus/God is any less than what He is and that He is some kind of hoax is ridiculous. God made the Heavens and the Earth. He creates every breath we take and every bat of an eyelash. Who says he can’t make someone walk on WATER. I hope this has made you just as upset as me. What is this world coming to? And even that, is predicted in the Bible by God!
