Big Boys and Girls

I’ve decided that it’s about time that our faculty here at GWU grows up. My job, as you all know, is to order the books for each semester. I usually send out plenty of reminder emails before the deadlines to the faculty to turn in their book orders. I even call some. Well I’m tired of it! They are adults and in most cases much older than me. Surely 5 reminder emails is plenty. Against the advice from other workers here I have decided that I’m done reminding. They know when the due date WAS (October 10th) and have chosen to ignore it. So, come the first day of class they will figure out that they have not turned their orders in. Normally I give many chances but lately I’ve just been getting chewed out from professors for my reminders saying that it’s “a bit much” so I’ll take that advice.

Have a grand day 🙂

Family Visit

Justin and I ventured to Brevard this Friday evening. We got to see everyone but Mike this time. The visit was short because we had to leave around 4 on Saturday but still great. We got to see Walker. He is getting so big! Justin should be posting new pictures soon. Walker can hold his head up now and is enjoying looking around at everything. I sure wish we all could have visited longer. It’s only about a month a way until we will see each other again for Thanksgiving.

Justin and I also dog sat from Saturday evening to Sunday afternoon. It was Jack and Cary’s dog (lab/husky mix). He is adorable and his name is Charlie. Java really enjoyed having the exercise and a friend.

hmmm

I’m not quite sure what to think now. Although I am happy he is still going to pursue it in court, I’m not happy that he returned after making such a statement by leaving. What are your thoughts?

Potty?

Many of you know that when I dream…I Dream! The other night I dreamt that I was at someone’s house and their toilet was in their fridge. I had to go real bad but they were cleaning out their fridge. Finally I just told them to move cuz I had to go haha. I know…I’m strange.

Why do I always dream of toilets?

Get Back Here!

Last night Justin and I let the cats out of the basement for a little while. They have been down there since I think Saturday. Justin had to do some light sanding before applying the last coat of poly on our floors. The boys went straight to our bedroom and Apache got in the window and Pixel on my dresser. When Justin was ready to start the poly I went to gather the cats to put them back in the basement. I found Pixel right away and put him downstairs. I then tried to find Apache. We both looked everywhere! He was nowhere to be found. Then I heard a really faint meow and thought maybe he had gotten into our air ducts. Then I went back to the window where he was and saw that the screen was no longer there and the window was wide open. We ran to the front door to go try to find him and he was standing right by the door. We thought all was good. Then he turned around and hopped over the wall and headed back to the window. We thought he was going to jump back in but instead he made a turn to go to the backyard. For those that don’t know, Apache is the all black cat and it was dark out so that made it really hard to find him. Luckily we were able to find him and grab him but not before giving both mom and dad a heart attack.

Lunch

Today my mom and Kelly have the day off for Fall break and they are coming to Boiling Springs to eat lunch with Justin and I. I’m excited that I can take the afternoon off and just spend it with them. I haven’t seen them in awhile and they’ve never been to Italian Garden so I think that’s where we will go.

Does anyone know anything about what’s going to replace Uptown Cafe in BS? Krispy Kreme maybe? hehe

I wish I could open up a chain of that or better yet Dunkin Donuts right by the hotel. That would be a real hit. Oh well….I’ll keep dreamin haha. Happy Weekend everyone!

Can I get an AMEN!

This article also got my attention. I think it’s about time someone, especially in the sports area, stood up for what they believe in. That took a lot of guts and definitely a lot of FAITH. I know that God will truly take care of him and his family for being willing to stand up and say ENOUGH. Too many of us sit around and let things happen because we are too afraid of what might happen. I admire this guy and wish him the best.

Holy Moly!

A few months back I watched a special on TLC about a family that had 14 children and one on the way. It was telling of their life and how they handle so many children. It was strange yet quite interesting. Today, while looking at my normal news sites I found this article talking about the same family. They just had baby #16 and still were ready to have more. Their new house is huge but they will need all the space as they continue to grow their own town. I just thought you might find it interesting.
