My Baby Girl

I know some of you may be curious about Java. We picked her up yesterday around 4:30pm. The Vet had already gone home but the assistant was there. She told us to try to keep her as calm as possible for awhile and we all just laughed after she said it. Labs are very hyper dogs. We both got down on our knees when the lady went to go get her just so Java wouldn’t feel the need to jump up to us. It was so sad when she came through the door. She was wobbling around and barely wagging her tail. We could definitely tell she was drugged and uncomfortable. I rode in the back with her on the way home. She let out a few groans. Then we brought her right inside and she laid down on the floor for awhile. Roy, our neighbor, returned from his beach trip and came inside to see her (they are best friends hehe). Java, although still in much discomfort was still trying to guard our home when she heard the door, but once she found out it was him her tail wagged harder than it did when she saw us haha.

This morning she is starting to look more like Java to us. She seems to have slept through the night okay. She still hasn’t eaten anything. I hope she will try eatting a little something tonight. She drinks a little bit but mostly just wants to lay down. I really hope she recovers quickly, at least to where she is happy again. It’s rough on a mom’s heart strings. I couldn’t believe they didn’t give her any medicine to take for a few days until she recovered a little bit. My baby girl is a tough one though. I love her!

A Few Updates

Ok, I know it’s been awhile and I was on a blogging roll and then I guess I just fell off. Things have been crazy lately as expected. Let’s see if I can catch you up.

Justin’s dad had shoulder surgery and his mom had knee surgery. They are both recovering nicely.

Our Barbecue lunch after church on Sunday was very successful. We were able to raise over $2000 towards our goal. On Monday night we had a team meeting and we have come pretty close to raising the minimum amount necessary for our trip. Once we surpass that amount we will be saving money to help with missions in Moscow in any way we can. Praise God for all the blessings He has given us while planning this trip. I look forward to many more as we get closer to the trip and go on it.

I’ve been working late this week for Summer rush. Things have been crazy. Monday zipped by in a blink of an eye. Today isn’t going so fast and I have to be here til 7:30ish 🙁 I am missing church and a GOOOOD supper tonight hehe.

Our Missionary friends in Moscow have started a Blog. If any of you are interested in keeping up with their progress and their prayer requests just let me know and I’ll send you the link. I’m so excited to have a more active part in their prayer requests.

Justin has been burning some more and we have gained at least 10 feet of land so far. I can’t wait to get the creek cleared out. Our neighbors to the left of us have moved out. Come on Matt 😉 The other neighbors, the Parsons, that we are good friends with are out of town this week. I can’t wait for their return and neither can Java.

Speaking of Java, Please keep her and me in your prayers. She will be having surgery tomorrow morning (getting fixed). I’m worried about her and I hope everything will go okay. I really hope the surgery doesn’t slow her down too much and make her lazy. Please pray she will heal quickly.

I guess that’s it for now. At least that’s all I can think of. Have a grand night all.

Happy Mother’s Day

I would like to wish a very first Happy Mother’s Day to my sister Erin. Also, to wish my mom, Justin’s mom, Meagan, and everyone else that reads my blog that is a mother. I hope you know how much you mean to us and your children. Enjoy your special day.

I also would like to wish Cary Caldwell a very Happy Bday today. I hope it’s been an awesome day for you.

Happy Birthday Kelly!

Hey Everyone, Today is a very special day. Today is my big sister Kelly’s Birthday. Join me in wishing her the happiest of birthdays and nothing but the best for this year to come. I love you!

Nothing else to Blog about…

I figured that since I’ve been on a roll with my blogging lately, that I couldn’t stop now. I don’t really have anything new and exciting to share but I am excited that last night, for the first time in forever! I slept really really well.  I might have woken up once at the usual 6am time but other than that, I slept right through.  So good that I had sheet marks all over the place.  I think I’ve been doing better at the sleeping thing because this week Heather and I have started back walking together after work.  We walked only 2 times this week but once for an hour and the other for an hour and a half pretty fast paced.  Justin and I have also been trying to remain active after work while it’s still daylight. We spend much of our time outside with Java or home improving.  I love the Spring daylight!

New Renters

The past couple Springs Justin and I have had some Grackles’ living in our gutters.  We keep forgetting to close up the hole.  They love to sit on the antenna on top of the house and use the restroom.  Our backyard is usually full of them in the evenings.  They are somewhat cute but mostly just odd looking.  Hopefully we will remember at the end of this season.  Here’s a pic of the lovely little buggas hehe

One of the many perks of being Justin’s Wife

Yesterday, afterwork, Justin and I went to Pastor Stan’s house.  They took us out to supper and then back to their place.  Stan recently bought a new computer (with Justin’s help) and needed his assistance in copying files over and setting things up.  I got to come along just for fun hehe.  I got to play Uno with Destinee (their grand-daughter/daughter, long story). I tell you what, that girl is good at Uno. She is quite sneaky.  All in all it was a lot of fun.

Happy Easter!

Hey Everyone! Just wanted to wish everyone a Very Happy Easter! 5:50am came way too quickly this morning.  When Justin and I got up, our animals were so confused as to why we were getting up and leaving in the dark.  The sunrise service started at 7am.  It was beautiful! We couldn’t have asked for a better service.  This was my first one at Crestview. Last year Justin and I were in Russia for Easter and the years before we both went with our families. The animals were definitely into the service as well.  There is a peacock, yes a peacock, across the street that started singing during a solo.  I guess he really like the song hehe.  There were birds flying all around us (even geese) and I can’t forget the cows.  The cows were even moo-ing.  It was a celebration that was for sure.  Even all of God’s creatures were joyous.  At one point during the service Pastor Stan was talking about Jesus being risen and alive and I thought it was so awesome that a little bird had pirched itself on top of the cross on top of the church and was singing as if to tell the world that Jesus has Risen!  I did feel bad at the end of the service.  Some EMS workers pulled up during the benediction prayer.  They were just a little too late 🙁  We were then invited over to Jeremy’s house for breakfast between the service and Sunday School.  It was a really great morning.

Yesterday, Justin and I were able to celebrate our family Easter time.  Everyone gathered at our house this year.  My dad always hides eggs for us outside.  We decided to do plastic eggs this year in case we didn’t find some haha.  Mike had camo eggs and Justin had green to keep it more exciting for them.  Stacey and Lorraine came to join us too and although it was hot, we all had fun.  Walker is getting so big!  We hadn’t seen him since February 5th when he was baptized.  Now he is scooting along in his walker and crawling and walking while holding things.  He is just about 8 months old and I bet next month he will be walking for sure.  What a smart and handsome baby boy. I love him so much! It was sooo good to see everyone again. I hope it won’t be too long til the next visit.  Oh, and we went to Papas Pizza to Go for the buffet for supper.  Mmmm Mmmm Good.  I thought I’d spare them my cooking hehe j/k.

I hope everyone had a fantastic Easter!
